Gauging Systems Inc. (GSI) introduces a remote notification system for the collection of medical laboratory samples. The medical drop box follows GSI’s existing drop box (U.S. and international) patents for remote notification of deposits or pick-up’s.
For Hospitals: The purpose of the system is to manage, record, and report the deposit and pick-up of patient samples in an efficient and secure manner. The goal is to improve the quality of patient care by expediting sample processing and tracking.
For Laboratory Service Companies: The purpose of the system is to manage the collection process in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Reduction in expenses for sample collection (Labor, Gas, etc.) and collection points to optimize the process.

Gauging Systems Inc.® announces the beta testing of the "iGauge™" application for use on the Apple Inc. iPhone® and iPad®. The software is designed to work with in conjunction with the New "Brianna" tank gauging software and the New "Win TG Pro .Net" tank gauging software to provide full Inventory reporting, Alarms, and other features remotely to your mobile phone.
Both the "Brianna©" and "Win TG Pro .Net©" software packages are designed for the Microsoft windows .net® platform with services available via the Internet or Intranet (PVN) based upon user configuration. The “iGauge™” application is designed to make use of the tank data base and live field communications with the gauges via the net.

 The MTG™ “Multi-function Gauge” provides more data and the lowest cost of ownership of all "Inventory" tank gauges on the market. MTG™ customers experience both economic and operational benefits from its use, typically seeing payback on the MTG™ within the first year of operation.

 I recently had the opportunity to give a paper at a School on Hydrocarbon Measurement. Because of the influx of work and the human tendency to procrastinate, things began to build up, and my time was squeezed from all directions. Standards for Tank Gauging (01/07)
The following are some of the reference standards used for liquid level or mass tank gauging worldwide. The American Petroleum Institute (API) which along with International Standard Organization (ISO) looks at the installed accuracy of the instrument instead of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) which looks at instrument accuracy (laboratory accuracy).
